so we did them one at a time at the church. So I had a bunch of time
to write this update, here you go :)
P-day we walked around the city but everything was closed because
Monday is basically still a weekend here. Haha so we ended up taking a
nap or something. That night we had a family night at the stake
Patriarch's house, he's super cool. We had super good classic cheese
fondu. It was SO GOOD. I'm going to have some serious cheese and
pastry withdrawals when I come home.
Then we started off the week and had some great miracles, met some
really cool people and did some good service etc. One funny think that
happened is this old investigator called us and wanted to go to lunch
with us so we said yes of course. We ended up walking super far to
this Chinese restaurant and she met us there. It was super nice, she
showed us around and everything then we sat down and she said she had
to go to work but she wanted to pay for our lunch. She has a really
strong accent in French so we weren't sure we understood but she came
back from paying and said bye. We thanked her and everything and we
were just pretty confused about what had just happened. Then we did
what we do best as Americans and as missionaries - we ate a ton of
food! A TON. It was so nice! We hope to see her again and teach her
though this time haha.
Cool miracle of the week: We were in a small city in our sector and
were waiting for our train. We had about 20 minutes until our train
came. Just sitting there, I looked for something to do that a good
missionary would do. So I started talking to a lady kind of by us and
it turns out she was lost and didn't speak French. She spoke English
though so that was fine. So we helped her out, the coolest part was
that she told me her mom is mormon, her brother is going on a mission
soon and she even lived in Provo for a few years. (The chances of that
are incredibly small!) From her point of view that is a fat testimony
builder that God loves her even on the other side of the world, she
gets lost and God is there to help her. And from my point of view I
see it as a great blessing to be able to work for the Lord and be an
instrument in His hands. Sure Lord, I will gladly love your children!
Well I hope you all have a great week! I love you all!
Today we went up with a member to get a sweet view of Geneva and the Alps!
