Do you remember me? Its crazy I know, but I come home pretty soon! I
am loving my mission. I live right on the border of Switzerland,
France and Italy! I have lived all over the place.
My favorite part of missionary work is meeting and serving with the
members here. The people here are great! I have really learned to love
them and their weird cheese etc. :)
I wanted to share a story from my mission:
This was in a city called Montpellier; I stayed there almost 8 months.
One thing we loved doing was to walk along the main river in the city
and talk to people on the benches overlooking the beautiful scenery.
Often our discussions would lead to opportunities to sit down and
teach our new friends about the gospel and our message. One time we
were talking to a young couple with their little baby. Things were
going pretty well and I had just testified about the family when I
felt someone poke me in the back. I was kind of scared at first
(because you never know what is going to happen next in France or as a
missionary) but I turned and immediately recognized a member from a
DIFFERENT ward over a hundred miles away standing there smiling at me.
He gladly introduced himself and testified about what we missionaries
do and also a summary of his conversion story. Then he left. It
couldn't have been better! There are things like that that happen all
the time. Miracles happen all the time! I know this is the Lord's
work. It is amazing being instruments in the hands of the Lord, I can
feel His tender care and His infinite love for the people here.
I sure love you all! Keep doing your best in all that you do. For
those of you thinking about a mission - do it. It is the best theing
ever! Don't expect it to be easy but you can expect experiences that
you will be thankful for the rest of your life. God really blesses and
takes care of His servants. I love you tons, I will see you in July!
(He said to put this picture on the blog because it's so funny but be sure to put "I'm not fat, I promise!)
