Hey! Its raining like crazy! In french they say its raining
ropes/cords and it really is! The whole city is pretty fludded and
apparently thats normal so I'll just go with the flow.. whatever haha.
I am staying in Montpellier for at least 6 weeks more. I love it here,
its starting to get colder so thats weird.
A few weeks ago we had been having lots of cool experiences with
people but not necessarily getting their numbers or setting up other
rdvs to see them, I knew that I'd see them later and their would still
be fruits of our labors maybe if I didn't see it.. but I did see at
least a little! The other day we saw a guy we taught on a bench in a
park, at that time he wasn't super interested but was nice enough to
listen and now he we saw him again and he said "you know, I have been
thinking about that experience ever since we had it. When we prayed
together it was such a cool experience etc" something like that but in
french of course. Anyway so we started meeting with him and he's
really cool! Actually he's a painter and he showed us a lot of his art
today, it was super sweet!
The moral of the story is that sometimes we do stuff that is just
normal for us but we can really touch others. I know that truth is
truth and the spirit can testify of it and it will touch hearts. The
Spirit is awesome, my favorite companion by far. hehe:)
Well I love you all so much! Have a sweet week!
Elder Adamson (every one always thinks its funny when they find out
what adamson means in english - the son of adam. haha like I'm as old
as Caine and Abel haha)
and here are the pics
We went to the top of the world.. TWICE because I forgot my planner
and realized at the bottom... ha!
This week we talked to lots of people! We have some people we're
teaching but we're looking for others. I'm pretty sure I've met people
from every country in Africa now haha. People are so funny here, the
more I learn French the more I get their little jokes and sarcasm and
stuff. It cracks me up.
I just started to read the book of mormon this week. I sure love that
book, I love Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life. I am here on a mission
to show people where the Iron Rod is in this dark shadowy world and
how tasty and everlasting the fruit is! I invite you to share the
blessings you have with others around you because its infinite and
we're so blessed to have it.
I love you all. Have a great week!
Hey everyone! Sorry... the email last week was all ready but it didn't
send! Something with the pictures.. <I put the email from the last week at the bottom of this post>
It was a sweet week! We went across the whole country to Bordeaux and
I saw one of my old areas and my old friends etc. It was great! We
went for a mission conference and it was really good. President Roney
We came back and had lots of good stuff planned. We played volleyball
on the beach with some members and friends and taught a lesson after.
That was sweet! Then we had a bunch of RDVs with our investigator who
is preparing to be baptized. He lives in a really cool town on the
coast called Sète, its kind of like Venice with boats all over and the
buildings on the water. Its incredible!
Basically we're just working really hard! Talking to lots of people,
teaching, running around and giving out Book of Mormons and stuff
I'm so excited for the Paris Temple and also the Rome Temple! They're
going to be so pretty and such a blessing for the people here in
Well that's all I've got for the week. It was a short week because of
the conference so far away. Love you all! See ya!
FROM LAST WEEK:
Hey everyone! It was a great week, we are starting to teach lots here.
Montpellier is one of the coolest cities, I told myself if I was going
to live in France after the mission one day for studies or something,
I'd like Montpellier. Most cities I've been in are actually pretty
Anyway there are lots of students here and school is starting so
things are calming down and getting back into rhythm.
THE MEDITERANEE with my sweet Joseph Smith shirt!
We do sports!
And the morning market!
(I wear a tie every day I promise)
hey here's another pic.. haha you don't have to put it on the blog but
you can if you want... its mostly just to show you guys and make you
Jeremy didn't send any update this week, only pictures :)
Bonjour! It was a good week! The tourists are starting to leave so that's good haha. I don't like feeling like I'm on vacation when I'm supposed to be a missionary!
This week we planted so many great spiritual seeds and I'm not sure if I will see the outcome on my mission or not, that's why I hope we all get a sweet "end of the movie replay session thing" when we all cross over to the other side. So then we can see what happened to all those Book of Mormons given and all. Its really cool to see the fruits of the labors of missionaries that served years ago.
I don't have much more time so that's all I can fit in today. Things are going great!
These computers here don't let me send pictures so sorry for that.
Hey everybody! This week was great! I have a new companion Elder Bake!
He's really cool and we've been slaying it here in Montpellier. Lots
of great things have been happening.
One cool miracle real quick that happened:
Through out the last few weeks I kept seeing a girl who for some
reason I knew I needed to talk to. Every time I'd see her things would
happen and I never got the chance to talk to her. Then one time I got
a chance to talk to her and she was really cool but her bus stop came
to fast and she had to leave. All I knew was her name. I asked in a
prayer, that night, for another chance to see her and then I saw her
the very next day! She was totally cool and will be coming to church
and taking the lessons. It was cool, prayer works!
I'll send my update tomorrow and if not.. well there wasn't a whole
lot that happened anyway haha
It's been a great week! I don't have lots of time to talk about it but
this week I wanted to share a thought about another parable I studied.
I love parables. The parable of the Prodigal Son is one of my
The son asks his dad for his inheritance and leaves, after spending it
all and becoming a homeless hungry man but most of all after realizing
he wanted to repent, he decides to return to his father's place. He
comes home and finishes his repentance process and his father is
really happy he has come back. He says to kill the fattest cow and
they throw a party. The other brother sees what is going on and gets
mad. The dad says to this brother that its okay, and that he should
not be mad his brother has come back. He was once dead (to the father)
but now has come back.
Obviously I might have missed some details and things but I want to
talk about one thing. The father's love is infinite. Its interesting
that he gave his son his inheritance and then he wasted it but came
back and got the fattest cow killed for him? Did it come from the
other brother's inheritance or? I believe this was to show that that
truly the father's love is infinite just like our Heavenly Father's
love is infinite. He loves us and will give us all that He has. He
wants us to come back to Him (repent) and it is a happy thing if we
do, a really really happy thing. His will is to not lose any of His
children. He loves us lots!
Anyway thats all I have time for, I love you all lots! Have a great week!
Hello everybody! This week was great!
This week I made the transfer from doing studies in English to
completely in French! I love it, its cool to read the bible in two
languages, with 2 whole vocabularies some things are best said in
French or vice-versa. Its been fun. I also mentionned last week that I
have been studying the 4 gospels and 'Jesus The Christ' for the past
12 weeks, its been really cool. I finished this last week and went on
to the parables. They are awesome.
I wanted to talk about a parable today. The parable of the "bridesmen"
,I think it is in English, is really really good. It talks about a man
who makes a vinyard all how it should be, all nice, and then leaves to
a far land. He sends after a while a servant to go get some of his
harvest and the people that take care of the vinyard cast him out. The
man tries again, they cast him out again. The man sends his very own
son to go gather the harvest and what do the people do? They kill the
mans very own son. In this parable God is the man Jesus is the son and
God's children, us, are the harvest. It is a very cool parable to
My testimony of this is that I know that God loves us, we are here for
a reason. He sends us things to bless us like prophets, commandments,
family, friends and lots more. He wants the best for us and He also
gave us His son who, because He was sent, is now our Savior and
Redeemer. We are truly blessed to have such a great Father in Heaven!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I love you all!
